Moving on up.
It’s nice to see I finally get something out of these guys. With all the rentals I do from month after month they have escalted me to their exectuve tier membership. I no longer have to rent a mid size hooptie to get a round. National does have their emerald club which is highly convenient especially right after your red eye flight. But this executive tear means I can go ahead and rent any car form the lot for the same price. How suh-weet is that. Now those are the perks im talking about. Now if only American Airlines would hurry up and do the same for me, Id be in business!
Bad battery problem.
Offf I was to New York City once again. I didnt hesitate to take my macbook. Its lighter and besides it allows me to quickly pull it in and out of places. kinda sort of like me...never mind im not gonna go there. At any rate. So im inside the airplane ready to take of and the captian gives the ok to use your personal electronics. I pop out my macbook and push the on the power button, Nothing!.
I was like what the hell is going on i clearly see the indicator battery button thats its fully loaded meaning the battery has full charge. Hmm at this point anything could help so I Zapp the RAM, hey I figure if anything is going to do it this is; It’s worth the shot. After doing so my laptop still was non responsive. Argggg this was pissing me of. If your one to know me you know that unsolved computer problems are my biggest pet peeves. I finally check in to my hotel room and decide to plug it into power. The damn thing starts right up but I have a hovering X all over my battery and this was cramping my style. I do some research on this and clearly I had a bad cell. I quickly contacted apple and will have to take it into the lincon road store. Grrr the joys of faulty computer hardware. Especcially when you trust a product so much. No big deal. All well ends well.
Salem, North Carolina =nightmare!
The network had not been installed no computers had arrived, I pretty much at this point had taken a trip in vein. God this sucked but what can i say I was going home early!!!!!. So I get to the hotel and I arrange for an early flight out. At about three o’clock I decide im going to leave the hotel and start heading out to the airport. Well I dont know if you ever used a Garmin GPS but when inputing for air transportation it gives you all the major airport and all the other little airports in the surrounding area as well. But the name of the airport in my ticket was not showing up. I ended up driving around to a bunch of municipal airports except to the one I needed to be. I was going 100 miles and hour down i95 cause I did not want to only lose my flight but I just had it with the Carolinas. All of its natural beauty and rude people had simply taken a toll on me. I then take a wrong turn as if i wasent already lost and turns out I ended up in little hick town with a whole bunch of hillbillies. I definetly looked out of place being the lat-ino that I am. To make a long story short I finally arrive at the right airport. Mind you, the reason my gps could not find it was because they had changed the name in the begining of the year causing my garmin to miss the yearly update! what an inconvenience. So I get out fo the rental and at this point i was already an hour and a half shy of my fligth and when i get out all i hear is splat....crack. As i turned my head down to expect the unexpected all i see is my iphone cracked! NOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! I HATE YOU GOD DAMN Carolinass!
Needless to say it was ment to happen the 3G iphone was just about to come out. perhaps an excuse..;_)
A breath of fresh air...time to grow.
I now work in Corporate America. I’m a field engineer for a billion dollar compnay in where I can get deployed to anywhere in the U.S and Canada. I work my way around hospitals calibrating x-rays machines and implementing new systems along the way. I enjoy what I do it gives me the opportunity to travel and meet new people everywhere I go. I think this is enought for this entry blog, till next time. Read More...
The final touch on my christmas tree.
I finally got around in getting a Christmas tree. With
long hours and my busy schedule I realized it was going
to be something that was going to get done when we got
some free time for it. So today we went to Publix and
picked out this Christmas tree. After coming home and
decorating the tree I realized that there was something
missing. It just didn't look quiet right. So I went to
the closet and pulled out something a good friend of
mine made for me in wood shop class. =)
Thanks mingo for my new ornament.
My experience with leopard
So it's been about a month
since I've installed leopard on both of my machines.
The transition have been relatively smooth except for
your usual minor bugs as expected. I love the interface
as though a couple of few things have changed. The
stacks Im not sure if Im a fan of but I'm still
struggling trying to get use to it.
Back to my mac-
has never worked for me. As I have poked and prod here
and there into some forums and news discussion
apparently Im not the only one having this issue. As to
my settings every thing pans out in the clear with my
UpNp and NAT configurations, however still no luck.
Mind you this is one of the features I really was
looking forward in using since I pretty much take my
macbook everywhere i go with me and sometimes need some
files back at the house.
iChat Screen sharing-
By far one of the best features integrated in leopard
that just works, flawless. This feature has facilitated
so many issues for not only IT managers but for the
common household use as well. One more reason for why i
don't have to go to the in laws xD. (joke)
Time Machine-
So far i have had no issues with this
feature...Yet. However I can see how this is going to
be a big deal for the every day mac in the house. I set
up my time machine the day i installed leopard and boy
did that take a while since my primary disk is 250gig.
I did not need to reformat the drive i had in the old
G4. it just began doing its thing setting aside my
other files untouched. very methodically planned out by
Apple wouldn't you say?
Spaces-
Now here is a feature i thought i was
not going to have any type of affiliation with. I just
didn't see the need in having to enable spaces since i
have a decent size monitor. However it does make my
workflow a bitt more efficient. No more having
fifteen windows open in one area.I can now organize
them by project depending on what I'm doing and how
i want them organized.
So all i all the experience that I've had with leopard
has been a smooth one with regular quirks and bugs.
lets just hope Apple roles out those updates sooner
rather than later.

Jailbreak your iphone..it works!

A crew of hackers (including hdm/metasploit, rezn, dinopio, drudge, kroo, pumpkin, davidc, dunham, and NerveGas) have introduced a one-touch instant jailbreak for both iPhone and iPod touch. The jailbreak opens your iPhone for full disk access and installs Installer.app so you can add pretty much any third party application you like.
To use it, open Safari and point your browser to jailbreakme.com (which we aren't linking to so folks won't install this by accident, but you are prompted to confirm). Once there, read the directions, scroll to the bottom, and tap Install AppSnapp. If Safari disappears and you return to the main Home screen, you're good. Just wait a minute more for your unit to restart--don't touch anything until you see the slide to unlock screen. If Safari hangs, just quit out (press and hold Home for 4-8 seconds) and try again.
