Apple Headquarters.
For quite some time now for those of you who know me, know that I have been a long time avid apple user. One of my long time dreams has always been to actually go to their main headquarters in Cupertino, CA. This past week I did exactly just that. I took advantage of the fact that some clients rescheduled on me after I had flown from Miami all the way down to San jose California. So I input on my garmin and saw that I was maybe an hour away! And what did I do? I went to Apple.
This trip was all that and then some. Although I tried to get inside the facility but was unsuccessful I was able to go inside their exclusive company store where they have selective items that only is sold on the campus. To make this trip even more interesting I toured around the back side of the campus and did not know i wasn’t supposed to be there. In essence I was inside the facility but not quite. Oh well it was all worth it. As i was heading out I noticed what i thought was steve jobs car. The reason i know it was his car was because his license plate has been stolen so many times and he just about had it. He got approval from the city to actually put a bar code on his car since he had already had previous stolen license plates. Although this was the extent of my trip to Apple. I decided to continue my venture and headed over to San francisco where I did some good site seeing.

I went car shopping last week and well decided to go for the Infiniti G35. What can I say this car is worth every penny you pay for.Stocked at 315 horse power (very fast) it’s taking me some time to get use to. I was going 90 miles an hour when I was driving it home and It didn’t fell like I was. The leather seats are rather sexy and feel nice. Im very pleased with the car so far.
27" Wide display, simply gorgeous.

My 27" inch display finally came in and it is all of that and then some. I wanted another monitor but did not know which way to go. I wanted something big that would display true colors. The mac displays are nice and all but I also was not ready to spend three grand on a 31 inch display. So i went with dell, they had exactly what I was looking for and for a little less than half the price. This is a big change form the old samsung that the "Ex-factor" managed to snagged from me (hope you enjoy that by the way). I definitely recommend this monitor for anyone that wants true colors and possibly a small TV replacement, and for those of you that gaming is the only thing you do on the PC, this monitor will apply to you as well.

This was absolutley hands down the worse busniess trip I have ever taken thus far. Everything went wrong from the start. My travel agent was on vacation forcing me to use someone else. Needless to say this person (fucked all my shit up) incredible. So I get there to the ticket counter and he forgets to confirm the ticket. I had to not only purchase the ticket on the spot but as well wait an additional four hours in FLL. When i catch my flight to charlotte my plane is all of the sudden delayed. Of course things could of not gone any rockier. I finally get into Greensburgh and hop into my rental. In the middle of the trip the cars electrical system goes hay-wire and all of the sudden Im in the middle of salem which sucks to begin with but with a car that has no lights! oh boy I was cursing everyone in their mothers out. Next morning I get to my job site and nothing was ready.
The network had not been installed no computers had arrived, I pretty much at this point had taken a trip in vein. God this sucked but what can i say I was going home early!!!!!. So I get to the hotel and I arrange for an early flight out. At about three o’clock I decide im going to leave the hotel and start heading out to the airport. Well I dont know if you ever used a Garmin GPS but when inputing for air transportation it gives you all the major airport and all the other little airports in the surrounding area as well. But the name of the airport in my ticket was not showing up. I ended up driving around to a bunch of municipal airports except to the one I needed to be. I was going 100 miles and hour down i95 cause I did not want to only lose my flight but I just had it with the Carolinas.
All of its natural beauty and rude people had simply taken a toll on me. I then take a wrong turn as if i wasent already lost and turns out I ended up in little hick town with a whole bunch of hillbillies. I definetly looked out of place being the lat-ino that I am. To make a long story short I finally arrive at the right airport. Mind you, the reason my gps could not find it was because they had changed the name in the begining of the year causing my garmin to miss the yearly update! what an inconvenience. So I get out fo the rental and at this point i was already an hour and a half shy of my fligth and when i get out all i hear is splat....crack. As i turned my head down to expect the unexpected all i see is my iphone cracked! NOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! I HATE YOU GOD DAMN Carolinass!

Battery Nightmare.

Of I was to New York City once again. I didnt hesitate to take my macbook. Its lighter and besides it allows me to quickly pull it in and out of places. kinda sort of like me...never mind im not gonna go there. At any rate. So im inside the airplane ready to take of and the captian gives the ok to use your personal electronics. I pop out my macbook and push the on the power button, Nothing!.
I was like what the hell is going on i clearly see the indicator battery button thats its fully loaded meaning the battery has full charge. Hmm at this point anything could help so I Zapp the RAM, hey I figure if anything is going to do it this is; It’s worth the shot. After doing so my laptop still was non responsive. Argggg this was pissing me of. If your one to know me you know that unsolved computer problems are my biggest pet peeves. I finally check in to my hotel room and decide to plug it into power. The damn thing starts right up but I have a hovering X all over my battery and this was cramping my style. I do some research on this and clearly I had a bad cell. I quickly contacted apple and will have to take it into the lincon road store. Grrr the joys of faulty computer hardware. Especcially when you trust a product so much. No big deal. All well ends well.

It’s nice to see I finally get something out of these guys. With all the rentals I do from month after month they have escalted me to their “Executive elite” tier membership. I no longer have to rent a mid size hooptie to get a round. National does have their emerald club which is highly convenient especially right after your red eye flight. But this executive tear means I can go ahead and rent any car from the lot for the same price. How suh-weet is that. Now those are the perks im talking about. Now if only American Airlines would hurry up and do the same for me, I’d be in business!
A breath of fresh air...Time to grow.

I have not written a blog entry for quite some time now. A lot has changed and life takes you sometimes in a direction where one only thinks is the right one, at least for the time being. I left a two and a half year relationship behind and started a new job and learned a lot along the way. I learned what the meaning of love, hate, honesty, dishonesty and lust was all in one sitting. Its real easy to be with a person but it hard to maintain that person. I learned a lot about myself; about the things i did like but more so about the things i did not like. In essence I think we tend to lean more on what we know and are use to as oppose to what we really need and should have. One should maintain oneself and give yourself the lifestyle your use to. I let go of myself in more ways than one. I spend a lot of time away from my family and even forgot what it was like again to be just that nucleus. Things are better now. I have peace, serenity and tranquility. I come as i please and do as i dictate. If you didn't know me and were reading this blog you'd probably think i was a war prisoner kept in for exchange.....things along those lines we can say is how i felt.
As I write this. I started to think about what has transpired through out the year. Getting over a horrible and un-healthy relationship with a person I was not in love with and that was not right for me. But I also thought about all the things that have gone right for me and sometimes i fail to see the blessings that the good lord upstairs has given me. I have a great family who now supports me in every which decision that I make. My job is just plain perfect.
Im doing what I love and traveling the world. Life has given me a bunch of tools that I had not taken advantage of. I think i was blinded and had a black cloud hovered around me for a while. When you don't have peace and desire your not wiling and your incapable of making the most simplest decision you could possibly make. I think In the end i have been for the most part a good person. I have my flaws I guarantee you more so than others, but given this said from this point on moving forward I try to make myself a better person in everything I do. I learned that a man's code of arm is his word and only that. That not everyone is as fortunate as we all think they are and that most people need that extra attention in their lives. Thank you god for giving me all the things you give me day after day.

iphone-Touch webclips Icons

With the latest software update for the iPhone and iPod touch, users can now save webclips to their springboard(desktop). These act as a shortcut to a website. Now, the iphone/touch will remember exactly the crop and zoom that you saved and will create an icon automatically but the icon is not always the most desired visual representation of the site. For example, if I want a webclip of CNN’s latest news, it will show a screenshot of the news, not a CNN icon. And if I zoom into the icon just for the logo and then save the webclip, when i click on the webclip it will take me to the zoom in of the icon and not the news. Fortunately, the iPhone/Touch can use a predetermined icon provided by the website. Here’s how to create a custom webclip icon for the the iPhone/iPod Touch. Save your 57×57px icon as a PNG, name it “apple-touch-icon.png” and upload to the root folder of your site files(where you index file is). The iPhone/Touch will automatically look for it here. It will also automatically round the edges and make give it that gloss look so you don’t need to worry about that. If you want to name it differently, or place the file somewhere else, you need to specify it in the html file as a header item like this
